Willie Roy D. Fontenot passed away Saturday December 8, 2012 at the age of 87. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday December 11, 2012 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church at 10:30 AM. Father Mark Melancon will officiate. Read Obituary
My Mother "Winnie L. Fontenot" called Ms. Bill her best friend and therefore she was also our sweetest friend. She made us all laugh and more fun than anyone we could have known. You are all in my thoughts and my prayers as you grieve the loss of your mom, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
I have fond memories of Bill over these last 38 years. Every time I visited with her, she always made me feel that she was incredibly excited to see me and was always so completmentary and interested in my life. As I think back of our too brief conversations, I wish I had spent more time getting to hear more about her. She always seemed to be so fiercly independant and had very strong opinions that always made me laugh! I am blessed to have been a part of her extended family and I will miss our shared family celebrations and holidays with her. Rest in Peace, Sweet Lady Bill.

I will always remember the first time I met you parents bringing a large cooler of crawfish to you in Houston, TX. And, the wonderful Thanksgiving (I think it was 1976 or 1977) we spent with you and your family - remember the ice we encountered driving back to Houston? You and your family are always in my thoughts and prayers.
