Vincent was a major part of my education about Cajun/Acadian culture when I worked with him as a ranger at Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve. He was always enlightening, kind, and funny, and anybody who knew him will miss him.
I had the pleasure of working with Vincent while at the National Park Service. Bien sur, il etait unique en son genre. He was one of a kind. He always had a story and we laughed so much sometimes, I'd feel guilty having so much fun at work. One summer we had 3 o'clock watermelon 🍉 parties almost everyday. Even Claudia would participate.
