So very sorry to hear about Verna's passing. I have such fond memories or visiting her on our summer trips from Tennessee to Louisiana. My mother, Wilda, was Verna's first cousin, but was closer to her than that because they were so close in age and lived so close to each other. My mother loved her very much and Verna was so good to bring my grandmother, Lucille, to Tennessee for my wedding! It meant so much to all of us! Our prayers are with the family!

She was truly an amazing, funny, witty lady, who always greeted me with a great big smile, hug and kiss... Never, ever, played tennis with someone who took off her tennis shoes, and finished a match, because her feet hurt, and did not care what anyone thought about it either! I was so sorry to hear of the death of Ms. Verna. Know that she is finally resting in peace in heavan. I remember her as such a special vibrant person.

I am so sorry to hear of Verna's passing. I wish I could have been there to say good-bye. I will always remember her when we played tennis years ago and her feet would start to hurt and she would play in her socks. My thoughts and prayers are with your family and especially Mr. Warren at this time.
