Obituary
On Monday, April 04, 2011 at 4:00 a.m., God in all his infinite wisdom, called to rest Ulysses St. Andre’.
Ulysses was born December 24, 1929 to the union of Sanville St. Andre’ and Amalie B. Fontenot St. Andre’. He was united in marriage to the late Mary Gilda Lavergne St. Andre’. They were blessed with twelve children.
To share warm and fond memories of his earthly life are his children, Emily St. Andre’-Opelousas, LA; (Monica ,Carolyn, Paul & Bernard); Maudry Rose (Donald) Alfred-Eunice, LA; (Donna, Clay, Rebecca, Donald Jr., Candace, Celeste, Amanda,& Kelly); Patricia(Sylvon) Guillory-Mamou,LA; (Charmaine, Roderick, Corey & Shelly) Joyce(Eric)LaChapelle-Lafayette, LA; (Erika, Timmy, Jamie & Jonathan); Kenneth St. Andre’-Eunice, LA; (Dawn) Cynthia St. André-Atlanta, GA; (Juan); Celina St. André-Eunice, LA; (Avery, Francis, Lacey & April); Cathy(Ben)Robinson-Eunice, LA; Angela(Dennis) Lartigue-Paulina, LA; (Angelle & Davie); Sylvia(Sam)Brown-Kennesaw, GA; (Amber, MiKayla & Harlee); Ronnie(Dana) St. André-Carencro, LA; (Quincy, Joevocus, & Allexis, Tre’).
Others near and dear to him and sharing memories are his Sisters, Adoliska Gabe, Josephine Crochet Ethel Lee Abboatte and Lucy Butler all of California; 34 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Gilda Lavergne St. Andre’; his son, Randall St. Andre; his parents, Sanville St. Andre’ and Amalie B. Fontenot St. Andre’; his sisters, Eleanor Tatom, Lucille Oliver; his brother, Willis St. Andre’; his nephews, Troy St.Andre’ and Timothy Abbatte.
