Ruby Taylor Broome's Obituary
Ruby Taylor Broome passed away on Thursday February 8, 2013 at the age of 91.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday February 14, 2013 at 9:30 AM at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Monsignor Robert Romero will officiate. Entombment will follow at St. Paul Mausoleum.
Ruby is survived by one daughter, Carla Clay and husband Stuart of Tybee Island, GA; one sister, Thelma Chatagnier of Eunice; one brother, Thomas Taylor of Houston, TX; two grandchildren, Stuart McQuire Clay and Michael Clay. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Fernest and Daisy Bourgeois Taylor; her husband, Carl F. Broome; one son, Steven S. "Craig" Broome; one sister, Rusty Gomez; one brother, Julius Taylor.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Wednesday February 13, 2013 from 3 PM to 9 PM at Quirk & Son Funeral Home. A Rosary will be prayed by the Catholic Daughters at 5:30 that evening. The funeral home will reopen at 8 AM on Thursday for visitation until service time. Quirk & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
