Roseina "Rose" Newman Courville's Obituary
Roseina “Rose” Newman Courville passed away on Friday, July 8, 2022, surrounded by her children, at the age of 83. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at Quirk & Son Funeral Home of Eunice. Burial will follow in Courville Cemetery.
At the request of family, visitation will be held from 3:00 PM until 10:00 PM on Monday, July 11, 2022 at the funeral home with a Rosary at 6:00 PM. Visitation will resume at 8:00 AM on Tuesday until time of Service.
Rose was the previous owner and recently retired employee of 30 plus years at Cajun Campground. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Rose is survived by her fiancé, John Stine; three sons, Carl Courville and wife Becky, Chris Courville and wife Gail, Patrick Courville and wife Angie; two daughters, Phyllis Tauzin and husband Nelson, Melanie Courville; one brother, Joe Newman and wife Debbie; one sister, Peggy Ardoin and husband Wayne; eighteen grandchildren; forty five great-grandchildren and six great-great- grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Allen J. Courville; one daughter, Janice Bertrand; her parents, Joseph Lee Newman, Sr. and Loreina Manuel Newman and her great-grand daughter, Addison Begnaud.
The family wishes to thank her nurse, Jaimie, as well as the staff of Hospice of Acadiana for the care they provided Rose.
