Rodney Roland Quirk's Obituary
Rodney Roland Quirk passed away on Monday May 6, 2013 at the age of 82.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday May 9, 2013 at 10 AM at Quirk & Son Funeral Home in Eunice. Reverend Michael Macintosh will officiate. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery in Oakdale.
Roland is survived by two daughters, Rhonda Quirk of Oakdale and Pam Q. Cart and husband Victor of Longview, TX; two sons, Glen Quirk & wife Suzette of Iota and Terry Quirk of Abbeville; one sister, Mabel Q. Fuselier of Eunice; four grandchildren, Joshua Quirk, Tiffany Thomas, Victor Cart II, and Leah Lopez; nine great grandchildren, Koti Quirk, Devyn Quirk, Kayla Thomas, Zachary Thomas, Tye Cart, Owen Cart, Noa Grace Cart, Valerie Lopez, and Duke Lopez.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Dolly Belle Lambert Quirk; his wife, Elaine Strother Quirk; two grandsons, Cody Quirk and Ryan Cart; six sisters, Mary Stoute, Belle Fontenot, Doris Vidrine, Joy Johnson, Bonnie Strokes, and Lena Ray Wittington; and three brothers, Vivian Quirk, Elmo Quirk, and C.D. Quirk.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Wednesday May 8, 2013 at 11 AM to 10 PM at Quirk & Son Funeral Home. The funeral home will reopen at 8 AM Thursday morning for visitation until time of service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to the Wounded Warriors Foundation: Navy League/Warrior Foundation, 2115 Park Blvd. San Diego, CA 92101. Quirk & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
