Robert Keith's Obituary
Robert Keith passed away on Thursday May 23, 2013 at the age of 78.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday May 27, 2013 at 10:30 AM at St. Edward's Catholic Church in Richard. Burial will follow at St. Edward's Cemetery in Richard.
Robert is survived by his wife, Lottie Y. Keith of Eunice; three sons, Robert Keith and his wife Brenda of Mont Belview, TX, Paul Keith and his wife Carolyn of Richard, and Joe Keith and his wife Pam of Lawtell; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Frances May Keith; and one brother, Elbert Lee Keith.
Bob was retired from 20 years in the Air Force. He retired in 1975. He received an Air Force Commendation, and was a Tech Sargent Firefighter in the Air Force.
He also retired after 17 years from Guillory Developmental Center as Head of Maintenance.
Bob was the first Fire Chief of the Richard Volunteer Fire Department in Richard.He was a member of St. Edward Catholic Church in Richard. He was a choir member there for years.
Bob was a 32nd Degree Mason in the Masonic Lodge of Eunice. He was also a member of the Eunice Gun Club for years
At the request of the family, visitation will be Sunday May 26, 2013 at 8 AM to 10 PM at Quirk & Son Funeral Home in Eunice. A Rosary will be prayed by Deacon David Guillory at 6 PM that evening. The Masons will do a farewell to their brother at 7:00 PM.
The funeral home will reopen at 8 AM on Monday for visitation until time of service.
