Richard Donovan Poore's Obituary
Richard Donovan Poore, age 77, of Eunice, LA, died Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at Opelousas General Hospital in Opelousas, LA. He was a retired Staff Sgt. in the US Air Force and received a Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal and Korean Service Medal. He was also a member of the American Legion in Baton Rouge, LA. He retired from Aerospace Industries as a flightline inspector.
He is survived by his wife; Aleda Veillon Poore of Eunice, LA.

Vikki Poore, Eunice, LA
Jacqueline Poore & Anthony "Craig" , Casa Grand, AZ
One Brother:
Dennis Poore of Bozeman, MT.
Five Grand Children:
Richard A. Ray, Donovan T. Poore, Skip V. Rash, Brianna Anthony, & Ryan Anthony.
Seven Great-Grand Children
He is preceded in death by his:
Parents: Arthur C. Poore & Elsie Neva Williamson; Grand Daughter, Aleda Neva Rash; Brothers: David & Art Poore; Sister: Inez Taylor.
The family will recieve friends from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Quirk & Son Funeral Home in Eunice, LA on June 2, 2011. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 AM on Thursday, June 3rd for a visitation until the service at 10 AM. A funeral service will be at Quirk & Son Funeral Home in Eunice at 10:00 AM, Friday, June 3, 2011 officiated by Pastor Doug Milliron of the First Methodist Church. Burial to follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Eunice, LA. Representatives from the US Airforce will be present to present the flag to his widow. Quirk & Son Funeral Home, 121 S. 6th. Street of Eunice is in charge of arrangements.
