Rena Citizen Jacobs' Obituary
Rena Citizen Jacobs, age 82, passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2026. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church with Father Eric Groner Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at the church the same day from 8:00 AM until time of Services. A Rosary will be prayed at 9:00 AM by Mildred Eaglin.
Rena is survived by two sons, Darcy Jacobs III (Deborah), Billy Jacobs (Lena); sic daughters, Cherry Jacobs, Geneva Wheeler (Tyrone), Penny Slusser, (Cory), Joyce Batiste (Robbie), Lorinda Guillory (Allen), Ruthell Chenier (Gary); one sister, Corinne Guillory; twenty-one grandchildren and twenty-seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dorsey Joseph Jacobs, II; her parents, Lincoln Citizen, Sr. and Lorainne Goodwin Citizen; four brothers, Lincoln Citizen, Jr., Raual Citizen, Allen Citizen, Oscar Citizen; two sisters, Catherine Jacobs, Rosa Mae Guillory.
