In addition to his professional and family commitments, Shorty loved to duck and dove hunt. He enjoyed hosting "suppers" for all his friends and cherished his morning coffee gatherings with his lifelong friends. Saturdays were special as he had coffee around the breakfast table with his two bonus sons, (Freddie and Craig) His favorite question to ask his adult grandkids and friends was, "Y'all been busy?"
Shorty’s morning routine included waiting for his ‘Morning Advocate’ to arrive to read it cover to cover. Football season was his favorite time of the year, as he was an avid LSU Tigers fan, a Saints fan, and pretty much supported the winning NFL teams of the season.
