Phillip Gene Manuel's Obituary
Phillip was 69 years old and a native of Eunice, Louisiana, but enjoyed his last years living at the Mermentau River. Phillip was an employee for many years at Leevac Shipyard in Jennings LA. He loved it when he was surrounded by his family and was always ready to offer up his home for everyone to gather. He was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone he could and never expected anything in return.
God speed and farewell until we meet again. Don’t give Granny too much of a hard time and remember Toni Sue’s donuts and boudin!!!
The funeral home will open on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 9:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM.
Phillip is survived by one daughter, his Pride and Joy, Nikki Marie (Manuel) Russell, son in law Carl Russell and beloved grandson Jackson Russell; two brothers Darrel Pommier (wife Dianne) of Jarreau, LA and Kenneth Pommier of Sulphur LA; one sister Cindy King (husband Tommy) of Sulphur LA; nieces Stacy Pommier, Robin Pommier and Megan King; nephews Eric Pommier and Jared King, as well as several cousins, great nieces and great nephews.
He is preceded in death by his mother Joyce (Bertrand) Manuel; his father Philogene Manuel and niece Toni Sue Pommier.
“Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.” John 11:25-26
If you would like to honor Phillips memory the family asks that you pick a local not for profit, non-kill, animal rescue organization. Those who knew Phillip knew he never met a dog he didn’t love. He would have been surrounded by them if he could have.
