Peggy LeDoux Johnson's Obituary
Beloved Peggy Sue Johnson passed away at the age of 66 surrounded by numerous family and friends in the comfort of her home on the evening of July 6, 2014. Peggy was born on the 17th of February 1948, to Wilber and Bessie Ledoux in Eunice, LA.
Peggy was a familiar face all throughout multiple communities for her volunteer work and heavy concern for the well-being of others. She did not know how to put herself before friends or strangers. Whether it be assisting at church functions, giving rides, or offering heart-felt advice, Peggy would not hesitate to take part in donating her time for the sake of whoever was in need. Another one of her past times was cooking her famous breakfast, French toast, for football Fridays with her daughters and grandchildren to wish them luck at their game that night. She was very supportive of all her grandchildren's activities in and out of school. Faith was Peggy's number one trait. No matter what someone was going through, one could bet that she had a beautiful and inspiring speech she was preparing to give them.
She is survived by her daughters Tammy, Renee, Monique and Ashley, her husband Bob, and her sixteen grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Hollie and her father Wilber Ledoux.
Friends are invited to a visitation service Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at Basile First Baptist Church from 11 AM to 10 PM with a speaker and a sharing of memories at 6 PM. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 9, 2014, opening at 10 AM until service time at 2 PM at the First Baptist Church. The Burial will follow at Basile Baptist Cemetery.
Quirk & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
