"Mel" Mellon Joseph Daigle's Obituary
“Mel” Mellon Joseph Daigle passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at the age of 84. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 PM on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Quirk & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Denis LaCroix officiating.
At the request of family, visitation will be held the same day at Quirk & Son from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM, at which time there will be a Rosary led by Mel’s wife, followed by services.
“Mel” was the former owner of Mel’s Quick Stop near Lakeview Park on Hwy 13 North just outside of Eunice.
Mel is survived by his wife, Rita Gail Briley Wheeler; four step-daughters, Krista Courville (Jessie); Deanna Fontenot, Michelle Wheeler and Lindsey Wheeler.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Seraphim Daigle and Eva Faul Daigle; one step-daughter, Mary Katherine Goldberg.
