Mary Lou Menard LeJeune's Obituary
Mary Lou Menard LeJeune, age 84, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Mary Lou was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She found great joy in crocheting and especially cherished the time she spent with her family. Her home was a place filled with warmth, comfort, and love. She will be remembered for her friendly, outgoing spirit, quiet strength, and the deep devotion she had for her children and the many generations that followed.
She is survived by her three sons, Anthony Paul LeJeune (Jackie), Thomas Lemar LeJeune (Jason), and Dean Doucet (Kylie); two daughters, Geraldine Doucet (Troy) and Brenda Crum; her daughter-in-law, Merycris Doucet; her sister, Lucy Kaufman; sixteen grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Noah Paul LeJeune; one son, Richard Doucet; her parents, Elvie Menard and Alice Richard Menard; and her brother, Lloyd Menard.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, February 13, 2026 at Quirk & Son Chapel with Deacon Gary Gaudin officiating. Burial will follow in St. Edward Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Claire Bourgeois, her devoted caregiver, who went above and beyond in her care, and to Amedisys Hospice for the compassionate and loving care shown to Mary Lou and her family.
Mary Lou’s legacy of love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
