Marion Fruge, Sr. passed away on Friday, May 30, 2025 at the age of 89. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at St. Anthony’s with Father Hampton Davis Celebrant. Entombment will follow in S Read Obituary

He was a French teacher to class of ‘65. He cautioned the girls about wearing too much lipstick, powder and paint. I remembered that statement and told the same to my daughter and her friends. Thanks Coach for that little piece of advice. When I think of my high school days, your advice is one of my fondest memories. RIP

So sad to hear. We became friends serving in the Eunice Auto Dealers Association in the late ‘60s and 70s.

My memory of coach Fruge was when I worked under him as a assistant football coach and head track coach in Basile, La., then we hooked up again at Eunice high school, coaching track together and winning 3 state track championship, I'm going to miss my old buddy and his lul squirrel Gumbo.

Vennie and I both worked with Coach while working at Manuel Truck & Equipment in the late 1970's, he was such a wonderful and kind gentleman. I am sure he will be missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing him.
