Mae Bell Jenkins' Obituary
Mae Bell Jenkins passed away on May 28, 2014 at the age of 77.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 30, 2014 at 11 at First Baptist Church in Basile. Pastor Dwayne Smith will officiate. Burial will follow at Basile Baptist Cemetery.
Mae Bell was survived by five sons, Jerry Jenkins of Basile, Jack Jenkins and wife Monica of West Lake, William Jenkins and wife Dale of Kinder, Leonard Jenkins and wife Sharon of Kinder, and David Jenkins and wife Angie of Lawtell; two brothers, Burkman Langley of Spiro, Oklahoma and Hillery Langley, Jr. of West Lake; twenty-one grandchildren; forty-six great-granchildren; and five great great-grandchildren.
Mae Bell was preceded in death by her husband, George Jenkins; her parents, Hillery Langley, Sr and Eva Young Langley; two sons, Milburn Jenkins and Wayne Jenkins; one daughter, Georgie Chaumont; two sisters, Verline Rose Broussard and Lolita Seger; and three brothers, Leo Langley, Leland Langley, and Willie Langley, one daughter-in-law, Angela Jenkins.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2014 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Rosary will be at 6 p.m. The funeral home will reopen at 8 a.m. Friday for visitation until the time of service.
