Loretta Tate Simon, 63 of Eunice, La died on Wednesday, December 22, 2010, at her residence in Eunice, La.
Born Wednesday, April 30, 1947 in Mamou, Louisiana.She was the wife of Mike Simon of Eunice, La.
Surviving are two sons, Kelly Ray Simon of Arnaudville, LA and Christopher Scott Simon of Longview, TX, two daughters, Cynthia Therese Wilkinson of Killeen, TX and Janet Lorraine Johnson of Stafford Springs, CT, two sisters, Cathrine Hancok of Moss Bluff, LA and Patricia Hamilton of Sulphur, LA; 14 grand children. She is preceded in death by her parents, Wilfred and Felice Brown Tate; brother, Ray Tate; Sisters, Jane Tate, Ruth T. Bertrand, and Clara T. Gillard; grandchildren, Matthew Simon and Erin Courville. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to "The Smile Train" at www.smiletrain.org, P. O. Box 96231, Washington, DC 20090-6231. A mass of christian burial officiated by Fr. Cedric Sonnier will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, December 24, 2010 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice. Burial to follow in St. Thomas More Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM on Thursday, December 23, 2010, at Quirk & Son Funeral Home of Eunice with a rosary @ 7:00 PM prayed by Deacon David Guillory. The funeral home will reopen at 7:30 AM on Friday, December 24, 2010 for a vistiation until the service at 10:00 AM.
