Linda Marie Broussard Gaudin's Obituary
Linda Broussard Gaudin, a devoted wife, wonderful mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 29, 2026 with her husband at her side. Linda was born April 2, 1951 to Jules and Ernestine Broussard. A Mass of Christian burial will take place on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at 11 AM at St. Anthony Church with Fr. Hampton Davis, III as the main celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Paul Mausoleum.
Linda was a cherished parishioner who loved St. Anthony Church. She served as a lector and as an extraordinary minister of Holy Communion. Her compassion and love for others were shown by her career as a nurse. She started as an LPN and then went back to college to become a Registered Nurse. She worked at Moosa Memorial Hospital, Savoy Medical Center, and finished her career as a Home Health nurse with Evangeline Home Health.
Linda was also very active with the Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court #208. She served as the Regent and was recognized as Catholic Daughter of the Year. Linda was also involved with the ACTS mission and served on teams.
Linda leaves behind her devoted and loving husband of 44 years, Deacon Gary Gaudin; her two grandchildren Brittany Duplantis and Alexander Geerts; two sisters, Elizabeth Sonnier (Charles) and Charlene Broussard; one brother, Paul Broussard (Mary); her step-daughter Yvette Niesel (Jim); her step-son, Stephen Gaudin (Natalie), as well as numerous nephews and nieces. She is preceded in death by her parents and her daughter Yvonne Geerts.
Visiting hours begin on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at 12 noon until 9 PM with a rosary being recited at 6 PM. Visitation will resume at 8 AM Wednesday until time of services.
The family would like to thanks all the doctors and nurses who have helped us during this difficult time. A special thanks goes to Alaina, her Hospice nurse, who compassionately saw about the needs and comfort provided.
