Lelia Benoit Roy's Obituary
Lelia Benoit Roy passed away at her residence on Saturday, January 9, 2016, at the age of 73.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 11, 2016, at 11:00 AM
at Quirk & Son Funeral Home. Deacon David Guillory will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Louis
Cemetery in Eunice.
She is survived by her companion, Joe Benoit of Eunice; her son, Robert Roy and his wife Hope of
Church Point; three daughters, Geraldine Smith of Sunset, Judy Darby and husband Michael of
Arnaudville, and Vickie Johnson and her husband James of Eunice; one brother, John Benoit of Mamou;
thirteen grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
Lelia was preceded in death by her parents, Ovey Benoit and Julie Guilbeaux Benoit; two brothers,
Felix and Alfred Benoit; a sister, Amelia Dupre.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Sunday, January 10, 2016, from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM
at Quirk & Son Funeral Home. A rosary will be prayed Sunday evening at 6:00 PM by Deacon David Guillory.
The funeral home will reopen for visitation on Monday at 8:00 AM until the time of service.
