My wife and kids are friends with Lawrence and he introduced me and my son to deep water fishing in Destin FL. I will never forget the fun we had fishing in the Gulf. Everytime my son and let down a line in the Gulf we will remember Lawrence.
I will always miss my friend, but I know that he is with the Lord right now and is no longer feeling any pain or sickness. I will be praying for the family. God bless you all.
I was introduced to Lawrence (Poppy) when I meet my wife.(Ashly Huckelberry Johnson) For over 7 years, we've shared laughs, tears, fishing trips, and thoughts over everything you could possibly imagine. One thing that made him such a great person was, his patriotic and christian life style that he lived. Even in his battle with cancer, he was strong for Christ and for his family. I will dearly miss our conversations, cotton candy, and ice cream that we shared on several occasions.
Lawrence, I love you with all my heart. I'm sadden with your passing and at the same time I'm excited for you. No more pain and no more sorrows. We will meet again friend, father, and brother in Christ! May you Rest in Peace!

Well I guess you could say it all started about 8yrs ago! I remember the First time I met him thinking who is this man with the accent, hahaha then he cooked for me and I knew he would be around for along time. I have so many memories of Lawrence, and thank him for everything he has ever done for my family and myself. I already miss you!! And picture you setting in your chair eating a huge bowl of icecream and a bag of candy and Thib laying beside you!! You have brought so much into my life and I'm thankful you were apart of it.
I will never forget you! I can't wait to see you one day in Heaven.

Just wanted to share about the time we got to work together putting up drywall in a house, I was in-between jobs and we spent I think it was a couple of days in the heat but still having a good time. For the family members sorry to hear about your loss, Lawrence Was always full of joy and he shared that with everyone he met. Truely a great guy.
Dianna and I were saddened to hear of Lawrence's passing. We met him about 6 years ago through a bible study. We soon became good friends. Lawrence had such a winning personality. His cajon dialect was distinctive and fun to listen to. He was so full of life and loved his Lord. He had a big impact on our son, Josh. He helped Josh in a way that no one else had. I will always be thankful for what he did for my family. I am sure God brought him into our lives for this special purpose. As sad as it is to lose him, it is his gain. He is now home and in the presence of the Lord.

Wow where to even begin!! I meet Lawrence in 2002. He attended the same church with us. We had many dinners together, his family and mine and I will never forget eating the best meatloaf ever. He was a great cook!! But the one thing I will always remember is that Lawrence introduced me to the best Praise and Worship song ever...and when ever I play it I will always think of him and his love for his Lord and Savior.
Thank you Lawrence for a wonderful evening right before you left Vienna. Jeff and I will never forget you!! You touched many lives and now you can "Go rest high on that Mountain, your work on earth is done".

Was just talking about him the other day. How we use to play tennis for hours and talk about family and God. I will miss him.
