Larry James Guidry's Obituary
Larry James Guidry, age 73, passed away on January 29, 2026. Born on July 26, 1952, in Eunice. Larry later became a resident of Lafayette, La, where he spent his later years.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026, at 11:30 AM at Quirk & Son Funeral Home, with Father Sam Fontana officiating. The funeral home will open at 9:00 AM for visitation until 11:00 AM, at which time Father Sam will pray a rosary, leading into the service. Inurnment of his ashes will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Larry is survived by his daughters, Darnella Guidry and husband Korey Chapman, and Skye Zavadil; the mother of his children, Mary Guidry; his brother, Alfred Guidry and wife Clara; and his sister, Lorraine Bertrand. He also leaves behind two cherished grandchildren, Hannah Chreene and Weston Zavadil, along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Noel and Cecile Miller Guidry; four brothers, Felton Guidry, Albert Guidry, Cleveland Guidry, and Levans “Black” J. Guidry; and three sisters, Jeanette Higginbotham, Bernice Arnaud, and Judy Guidry.
