Jean F. Pucheu's Obituary
A memorial mass for Mrs. Jeam Fontenot Pucheu, 84, will be held at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Eunice on Thursday, July 10, 2008, at 2 PM.
Jean Fontenot Pucheu was born September 24, 1923, in Port Arthur, Texas. She died at her home in Eunice on July 7, 2008, after a short illness.
Jean spent her early childhood in Port Arthur and moved to Eunice in 1922 when her family opened a farm equipment dealership.
She attended Eunice Elementary School, graduated from the Academy of the Sacred Heart in Grand Coteau, and then graduated from LSU in 1943.
Jean married Jacque B. Pucheu, Sr. in 1946 and they returned to Eunice where Jacque opened his law practice in 1950.
Jean is survived by her two sons, Jacque B. Pucheu, Jr. and his wife Becky, John H. Pucheu and his wife Rhonda of Eunice; Annette Pucheu Lynch and her husband Jim of Covington; her grandchildren, Katherine P. Theall and her husband Torrey of New Orleans, Alex Pucheu and his wife Tiffany and Philippe Pucheu and his wife Jamie of Baton Rouge, Jennifer P. Gauthier and her husband Coy, Jessica Pucheu of Jackson, MS, Alice Pucheu of New York, City, NY, Sally Lynch of New Orleans and Maggie Lynch of Baton Rouge; great grandchildren, Reilley Jean Gauthier and Arthur Gauthier of Jackson, MS and Blythe, Gretchen and Ronan Theall of New Orleans; her sister, Germaine F. Rhodes and husband Carroll of Houma, brother-in-law, Billy Pucheu and his wife Gay of Ville Platte, nieces and nephews, Stan Rhodes, Lauren R. Stidhman, Paula P. Guillory, Pam P. Reynoir, Doug Pucheu, Guy Pucheu and Jay Pucheu.
Memorial donations may be made to the charity of choice.
