July 2, 1948-June 25, 2018
A beautiful heart stopped beating today…It is with the heaviest of hearts that the family of Harry Dale Begnaud announces his passing on June 25, 2018. Harry’s happiest times were spent laughing and visiting with his family and friends. Harry-O as he was known among his friends, was a hard worker for his family, a devout Catholic, never met a stranger, and was always willing to help anyone in need.
Harry proudly served his country in the United States Army and National Guard.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of fifty years, Elaine Fontenot Begnaud, his loving daughter, Renee’ Begnaud LeJeune, son-in-law Blaine M. LeJeune, and the joy of his life, his grandson, Chase Mitchell LeJeune. Surviving siblings include his sister, Bobbie S. Fontenot (Dean), Keith Begnaud (Alicia) of Liberal, Kansas, Mark Begnaud (Jelaine) of Eunice, Judy Reed of Eunice, Herman Miller of Eunice, sister-in-law Vicky Begnaud of Eunice, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Harry is preceded in death by his father and step mother Harry John Begnaud and Rena Begnaud, his mother and stepfather Viola Bazinet Miller and B. L. Miller, his twin brother Harold Dean Begnaud, step-brother Ronald Miller, and sister-in-law Juanita Miller.
The family wishes to thank the nurses and doctors of Lake Area Christus Hospital and Heart of Hospice in Lake Charles for the wonderful and compassionate care given to Harry.
The family requests visitation Wednesday, June 27, 2018 from ten o’clock in the morning until ten o’clock in the evening. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at six o’clock in the evening; final visitation will be held Thursday, June 28, 2018 from eight o’clock in the morning until the time of service at ten o’clock in the morning. Final rest will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery.
