George Dietz passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at the age of 70. No memorial service is planned at this time. George is survived by his wife, Linda Dietz of Eunice; two sons Ricky Dietz and wife Melonie of Lake Arthur, Travi Read Obituary
It has been a very long time since I have seen or heard from any of the Dietz family but I have never forgotten my roots. My daddy and your daddy were brothers. You daddy and mom were my godparents. I do not know how many of my family are left out there but would love to know. My condolences to the family. May God's peace and blessings touch each of you!
My dad was a very good man. He told us stories that made us laugh so hard our cheeks actually hurt till the next day! I could go on and on at how he was a funny man! He was also a very strong man believe me I got spankings from those big hands he had! Lol! He is in no more pain he is with his mom and dad now. We are blessed to have had my daddy for 70 long hard years. He worked hard and played even harder!
I have known George for many years. We went to EHS together. I know Bill and Roy. I had met his mom and dad. George was a very comical person. He pretty much kept you in stitches. If you needed help, he was in your corner. We played in the same R & R band in eunice. He played sax, and was very good at it.
I joined the military on 8-2-61. I had not seen George since '61.I have always felt like George had at least one more comical thing to say.
I found all this out on the internet. I also saw where he has a son named Travis, who lives in Youngsville, La. I would like to meet and speak with Travis. My father is buried in Youngsville. Maybe we could get together next time I come down to Youngsville.
