Essie Mae Miller Quirk's Obituary
Essie Mae Miller Quirk passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2015, at the age of 81.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 23, 2015, at Quirk & Son Funeral Home in Eunice at 1 PM.
Pastor Hardy Estes will officiate. Burial will follow at Beaver Creek Cemetery in Beaver Creek, LA.
Essie is survived by one son, Greg Quirk and wife Darlene of Elizabeth; two daughters, Barbara Ross and
companion James Strother of Ville Platte and Susan Sanford and husband Dare of Midland, TX; two sisters,
Myrtis Abercrombie and companion Jimmy Dickens of Oakdale and Rena Bushnell and companion Jimmy
Beaugard of Pine Prairie; two brothers, Arnold Miller and wife Louise of Oakdale and Milford Miller and wife
Brenda of Pine Prairie; eighteen grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Essie was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar Lee Miller and Janie Johnson Miller; her husband Charles
D. Quirk; one sister, Viola Johnson; and one brother, Hammer Miller.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2015, from 10 AM to 10 PM. The
funeral home will reopen on Friday at 8 AM for visitation until the time of service.
Quirk & Son Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
