Elsie Lafleur Bellard's Obituary
Elsie Lafleur Bellard passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2014, at the age of 85.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2014, at 1 p.m. at St. Thomas More
Catholic Church. Father Clinton Sensat will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Elsie is survived by one son, Aurdie Bellard and companion Denise Wright McDaniel of Eunice; one brother,
Harry Lafleur of Eunice; three sisters, Anna Jernigan of Raleigh, MS, Mary Ann Broussard of Elton, and Mary
Lena Babineaux of Eunice; and five grandchildren, Jordy Bellard, Blaise Bellard, Adrienne Bellard, Amelia
Bellard, and John Bradley Bellard.
Elsie was preceded in death by her parents Doza Lafleur and Emily Brown Lafleur; her husband, Clarence
Bellard; one son, Ronnie Bellard; three brothers, Dewey, Raymond, and Frankie Lafleur; one sister, Dora Belle Lafleur.
Elsie, better known as Taunte Sam, was loved by many nieces, nephews, and friends. Everyone especially loved her
banana cake! She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Friday, November 28, 2014, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. A Rosary will
be prayed at 6 p.m. by Deacon David Guillory. The funeral home will reopen at 8 a.m. on Saturday for visitation until
the time of service.
