Edie Faye Reed Granger's Obituary
Edie Faye Reed Granger passed away on Monday, December 22, 2025 at the age of 75. Faye was a very loving, funny, and caring person. She was a very loving and devoted mother, wife, friend, aunt, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. To know her was to love her. Anytime you mentioned her name the first thing people would do was laugh because she was so funny and always joking with people. She enjoyed spending time with her loved ones especially for the holidays. She will be deeply missed especially all of her jokes and her laugh.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church (Mamou) with Father Billy Massie Celebrant. Burial will follow in the new St. Ann’s Cemetery.
At the request of family, visitation will be held from 3:00 PM-10:00 PM on Monday, December 29, 2025 at Quirk and Son Funeral Home in Eunice. Deacon Gary Gaudin will pray the rosary at 6:00 PM. Visitation will resume at 8:00 AM on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 until time of departure for services.
Faye is survived by two daughters, Angela Ducote (Simon) and Melissa Holford; one sister, Carrie Mae Reed; and one brother, Johnny Reed; six grandchildren, Kristy Brignac, Danielle Jack (Alonzo), Amber Ducote (Jamie), Heidi Ducote, Zachery Brignac (Kaitlyn), and Tyler Brignac (Lauryn); seventeen great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Brooklynn, Raynie, Kolby, Noah, Michael, Lilly, Jackson, Ava Grace, Isaiah, Grayson, Aylin, Alexa, Anna Mae, Kennedy, Peyton, and Cassidy; three great-great grandchildren, Acetyn, Emery Faye, and Rowan.
She was proceeded in death by her husband, John Brent Granger; her parents, Evans and Bertha Reed; two brothers, Kenneth and Winston Reed; son-in-law, Douglas Holford; and two sisters, Mercedes Cargil and Dean Lay.
