She was born May 19, 1956 in Eunice, Louisiana and raised alongside two sisters and three brothers in Patterson, Louisiana. Throughout her life, she lived as a devout Catholic and forever a follower of Christ, belonging to St. Edmund’s Catholic Church Parish in Lafayette, attending mass and receiving communion until her passing.
At age 18, she began attending USL to study nursing and met her husband-to-be Raymond Earl Zorn, Sr. They were married for 46 years and over the years brought into the world a loving and busy family of eleven kids. From childhood, Debbie wanted to be a mother and have a large family most of all. She was not only a mother to her own children, but their friends, acquaintances, or anyone needing a helping hand. At the age of fifty-six, she started her journey of motherhood over with raising her granddaughter, Julia Christian. Julia was the light of her life from six weeks old. Among all the roles she filled in life, her favorite was being “Momo” to her grandchildren.
Debbie is survived by her husband, Raymond Zorn, Sr.; five sons, Raymond Zorn, Jr. (Anne), Jeremy Zorn, Robert Zorn, Brian Zorn (Falyn), Samuel Zorn; six daughters, Sarah Zorn, Heidi Rodriguez (Luis), Katie Griffith (Ben), Mary Zorn, Abigail Zorn, Julia Zorn; two brothers, Jimmy (Bo) Lemoine (Ruby), Michael Lemoine (Christina); two sisters, Carolyn “Sue” Arnold (Bobby), Pamela Duplantis (Kevin); fourteen grandchildren, Jerry Day, Gavin Zorn, Jackson Zorn, John-Thomas Griffith, Alexandra Clair Griffith, Caroline Griffith, Katherine Griffith, Stephan Zorn, Kolby Zorn, Brennan Zorn, Julia Zorn, Braxton Zorn, Brayden Zorn and Branson Zorn.
She was preceded in death by one son, John Zorn; her parents, E.J. and Geraldine Gil Lemoine; one brother, Glenn David Lemoine.
The family would like to offer their heartfelt thanks to Hope Hospice, especially Kelli Saloom, for the love and care given these last few months.
