Bill Ardoin Jr, age 84, passed away on January 3, 2026 in Fredericksburg, VA.
Born July 22, 1941, in New Iberia, LA, Bill lived a full and vibrant life shaped by service, hard work, and a deep love for the things that brought him joy. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and a graduate of St Edmund High School in Eunice, LA.
Bill built a successful career in the automotive industry, working his way to executive leadership before retiring from Mercedes Benz. In retirement, his passion for music led him to work as a DJ for KVPI radio in Ville Platte, LA.
In his younger years, Bill enjoyed drag racing and carried a lifelong love for cars. He was also an avid fisherman and spent many afternoons trolling the waterways of the various states he lived.
Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Kay Ardoin; his two children, Yvette Monteleon of Lafayette, LA, and Leonard Ardoin of Maui; his stepchildren, Lance Mayfield and wife Jen of Florence CO, Damon Mayfield and wife Cristi of Florence, CO, and Jodi Biggar and husband Shawn of Fredericksburg, Virginia; and eight grandchildren who brought him great pride and joy.
Bill will be remembered for his dedication to family, his love of music and cars, and the many lives he touched throughout his journey.
