Benjamin George Johnston passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2015, at the age of 62. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2015, at North Eunice Baptist Church at 10 AM. Pastor Brian Johnston will officiate. Buri Read Obituary
Growing up near McManus lake I met Ben. He used to ride his horse through the woods there we as boys played in the woods and fished at McManus lake. Lake dried up in 1981 I think. Ben caught me smoking a cigar in the woods back then. He convinced me it was very bad for me. Thank you Ben. The Johnston boys had a singing group at Emmanuel Baptist in Eunice. The original old church. Made a lot of friends there. RIP Ben. You are thought of very often.
I am so sorry to hear of Ben passing. Ben and I were very close friends growing up in EuniceLouisiana. We really enjoyed playing football with the local boys because Ben could out run everybody and I had the job of throwing the ball far enough for him catch it. We very rarely lost a game. Now he has won his reward and rejoicing to be with his family

Ben you were a blessing to all who knew you and the people you were around, you and Nell inspired me so much while as a teenager growing up in a small town and you will be greatly missed by your family and friends.

Such fond memories of Ben and all the boys while we grew up together as next door neighbors. I know he will be missed. My prayers go out to all the families.
I remember Ben as being a kind, loving, friendly person. He loved his girlfriend at the time, Nell Long, and would always see them together in the hallways smiling and holding each other's hand. It was uplifting to others to see them express love during times of turmoil there at EHS in 1970. Rest in Peace my friend.

We had the best grandpa in the world! We had so much fun with you and will always remember our rides on the mule. We will take care of Granny! and Daddy and Uncle Billy and Uncle Bobby.
