Willius George Reed passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2018, at the age of 82. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 16, 2018, at 11:00 AM. at Quirk and Son Funeral Home in Basile. Deacon Gary Gaudin will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Eunice. At the request of the family visitation will begin on Sunday July 15, 2018 at 10:00 AM until 10:00 PM at Quirk and Son Funeral Home in Basile and will reopen on Monday at 8:00 AM until time of services. A rosary will be prayed on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at 6:00PM by Christine Bacon. Willius is survived by his wife, Barbara Duplechain Reed of Basile, one son, Ferral Reed of Basile, one sister, Diane Deshotel of Jennings, three grandchildren; Wayne Reed, Connie Fuselier, Nicole Reed, four great grandchildren; Emori, Kree, Colby and Braxton. Willius was preceded in death by his parents, Wilfort Reed and Margarette Dupre Reed. Quirk and Son Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
