Willie Mae Moreau Fontenot passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2015, at the age of 87.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Annunciation Catholic Church in Duralde. Deacon Jimmy Cormier will officiate. Burial will follow at Ashford Cemetery in Basile.

Willie Mae is survived by one daughter, Connie A. Sanders of Eunice; one son Farrell J. Ashford and wife Monica of Duralde; one stepson, Gerald Fontenot of Eunice; ten grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and eighteen great great-grandchildren.

Willie Mae was preceded in death by her first husband, Raoul Ashford ; second husband, Wilson Fontenot; her parents, Joseph Moreau and Mary Bacon Moreau; infant son, Ronald Ashford; son, Donald "Butch" Ashford; grandson, Farrell "Jamie" Ashford; stepson, Terry Fontenot; and numerous deceased brothers and sisters.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 20, 2015, from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. A Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. by Deacon Jimmy Cormier. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday for visitation until the time of service.
