Wilbur Joseph Miller passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2022 at the age of 91. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at St. Thomas Chapel with Deacon Chuck Ortego officiating. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Chapel Cemetery. At the request of family, visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until 9:00 PM on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at Quirk & Son Funeral Home with a Rosary at 6:00 PM by David Guillory. Immediately following the Rosary will be a prayer service led by Pastor Stacey Miller, daughter-in-law of Wilbur. Visitation will resume at 8:00 AM on Wednesday until time of Services. Wilbur is survived by two sons, Wayne Miller and wife Deborah, Byron Miller and wife Stacey; two daughters, Brenda Miller Pool, Pamela Miller Rigmaiden; one brother, Henry Miller; four sisters, Mary Foreman, Aimee Vidrine, Rosa Toups, Liz Gaspard and husband Pastor Greg; twelve grandchildren, Brian Miller (Shelley), Nicky Miller (Tanda), Tony Miller, Jeff Pool, Allyson "Sissy" Wiggins (Shane), Heather Hodges, Heath Rigmaiden, Jessica Rigmaiden, Jennifer Rigmaiden, Brooke LeBlanc (Nick), Jada Hicks (Quincy), Pastor Derrick McBride (Jennifer); twenty-eight great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Florence "Jean" Dupre Miller; His parents, Dave and Mary M. Miller; one brother, Ashton Miller; one sister, Becky LeJeune. Wilbur was raised by his paternal grandparents, Thelismore and Cecile Miller and was an altar boy at St. Thomas Chapel. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Jeff Pool, Brian Miller, Nicky Miller, Tony Miller and great-grandsons, Anthony Davis, Tyler Alderson and Kyle Verdugo. Honorary pallbearers are Pastor Derrick McBride and Heath Rigmaiden.
