Funeral services for Mr. Wilbert "Buck" Maynard, 89, will be held on Friday, October 2, 2015, at 11:00 AM at First United Methodist Church with burial to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Rev. Tommy Young will officiate. Buck died on Monday, September 28, 2015.

He is survived by his wife, Juanita M Maynard of Clanton, AL; three daughters, Cindy Thibodeaux and her husband Phillip of Lake Charles, LA, Cathy Meyers and her husband Teddy of Bell City, LA and Lena Irvin and her husband Wallace of Danbury ,TX; step-son, Jim Blalock of Springville, AL; 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 3 great great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Loretta Grimes Maynard; son, Russell Maynard; grandson, Heath R. Maynard; twelve brothers and sisters.

Buck served his country in the United States Navy during the World War II conflict.

He worked for Transco/Williams for 47 years.

Buck was 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason with Masonic Lodge #410 in Eunice. He was also a member of the Shriner's.

Buck served the First United Methodist Church in Eunice as a lay minister, especially visiting the small towns surrounding Eunice.

Wallace Irvin, nephew, will deliver the eulogy.

Visitation will begin on Thursday, October 1 at 4 PM until 9 PM. The funeral home will reopen on Friday at 8 AM until service time.
