Wendy Michelle Mire passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at the age of 49. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 18, 2024 at 11:00 AM at St. Bridget Catholic Church in Lawtell with Father Mark LeDoux Celebrant. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. At the request of family, visitation will be held at Quirk & Son from 1:00 PM until 8PM on Sunday, March 17, 2024 with a Rosary at 6:00 PM by David Guillory. Visitation will resume at 8:00 AM on Monday until time of departure for Services. Wendy is survived by her mother, Carolyn "Marie" Matte Mire; her companion, Raymond Thibodeaux and his children, Gabrielle Thibodeaux, Austin Thibodeaux; three brothers, Toby Mire and companion Janet Boullion, Walter Mire and wife Jessie (Vidrine), Douglas Mire and wife Tamara (Miller); one sister, Susan Venable and husband Nolan, Jr.; Raymond's grandchildren, Nova, Oaklyn and Tucker. Although Wendy never had her own children, she was an amazing and loving aunt to her nieces and nephews, Alycia, Lydia, Alexis, Gracie, Lily, Audrey, Julia (JuJu), Tyler, Parker, Dylan, Andrew and Charlie, as well as her great-niece Eliana. She also leaves behind her pug, Zelda. She was preceded in death by her father, Mitchell Dewey Mire; her paternal grandparents, Dewey and Ivy Mire of Eunice; her maternal grandparents, Elzia and Aline Matte of Richard. Pallbearers will be Toby Mire, Walter Mire, Douglas Mire, Tyler Mire, Dylan Mire and Nolan Venable, Jr.
