Weldon Bushnell passed away on Thursday February 13, 2014 at the age of 79. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday February 17, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Mamou. Father Mark Melancon will officiate. Burial will follow at Ardoin Cemetery. Weldon is survived by two nieces, Jeanie Daigle of Eunice and Jane Bushnell of Lake Charles; and one nephew, Michael LeJeune of Mamou. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hosea and Ezoria Blanchard Bushnell; his wife, Delia Henry Bushnell; one sister, Vernetta B. Sylvester; and one brother, Gerald Bushnell. At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Sunday February 16, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Quirk & Son Funeral Home. A Rosary will be prayed by Deacon Gary Gaudin at 5:00 p.m. that evening.The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Monday for visitation until time of service. Quirk & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
