Virgin "Jane" Fruge Matte passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at the age of 91. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 11, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Sacred Heart in Church Point with Father David Rozas celebrant.Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 10, 2020 from 4:00 PM until10:00 PM at Quirk & Son Funeral Home of Eunice with a Rosary at 7:00 PM by Deacon Gary Gaudin and will resume at 8:00 AM on Friday, December 11, 2020 until time of Services. "Jane" is survived by two sons, Randy Matte and wife Mona; Gerald Matte and wife Kimberly; three daughters, Judy Thibodeaux and husband Calvin, Peggy Thibodeaux and husband J.Y., Sandra Thibodeaux; one sister, Shirley Rogers and husband Allen; twenty-six grandchildren; thirty-three great grandchildren (plus one on the way); ten great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Melissa Bearb Fruge; one daughter, Cheryl Lavergne; one brother, Gussie Fruge; one sister, Ethel Fruge; son in laws, Russell Thibodeaux and Lawrence Lavergne
