Violet Cowart Cormier passed away on Thursday December 20, 2012 at the age of 68. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday December 22, 2012 at 10 AM at Quirk & Son Funeral Home. Pastor Dwayne Smith will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Violet is survived by three daughters, Joyce Cormier of Eunice, Janet and Mark Estes of Elton, Charlotte and Michael Fontenot of Eunice; three brothers, Hank Cowart, Robert Lee Cowart, and A.Y. Cowart all of Mc Lain MS; two sisters, Margie Bridges of Longview, TX and Betty Ann Parker of Mc Lain, MS; eight grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Barbara Ainsworth Cowart; one sister, Wilton Sylvester; one brother, James Russell Cowart. At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Friday December 21, 2012 at Quirk & Son Funeral Home from 9 AM until 10 PM. The funeral home will reopen on Saturday at 8 AM for visitation until services. Quirk & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
