Time sure did fly by, oil was booming, goof times playing cards, listening to cajun music, drinking moon-shine around a bomb fire til the sun was rising in the horizon a beautiful bright array of colors with blue skies shining in the distance! Boudan from " Johnsons Super Market" for Breakfast and a Rooster the whole family tried to catch to be cleaned and put in a Pot to slowly cook in a Huge Pot filled with fresh okra, onions, garlic and all the secret ingrediants Mr, Fontenot cooked up! Anticipating that dinner would soon be ready when the biggest and best Pot of rice was cooked to perfection! The freshest, Best Ole' Time Gumbo slowly cooked as the aroma fills the air and good music to fit the best Cajun dinner to come! Which would heal a bad hang over, and replenish well needed vitamins from the adventure of the night before and the party to start again!! When you look back on these good times, crop duster planes flying over head, so low it was if you could reach out and touch them! And the memory of them doing barrel rolls in the distance as the beautiful SUNSET of a portrait of a painting in the back drop! Memories embedded in your mind that you hope all could see! Memories like these where nothing mattered, troubles were few, health was good for all, moments like these, if only could be captured and revisited in a time capsule! My love to this culture and family will always be embraced in my heart! Thank you for the memories! Maggie Blackwell!!
