Vincent Sittig passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2018, at the age of 85. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 01, 2018, at 10:00 AM. at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice. Burial will follow at St. Thomas More Cemetery. Fr. Clinton Sensat will officiate. At the request of the family visitation will begin on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Quirk and Son Funeral Home in Eunice. And will reopen on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at 8:00 AM until time of services. A rosary will be prayed on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at 5:00 PM. Deacon David Guillory will officiate. Vincent is survived by his daughter; Renee Ortego and Ricky of Eunice, La., one daughter-in-law Maria Sittig of Ville Platte, La., his former wife, Loretta Midkiff of Eunice, La., three grandchildren; Ricky Ortego II of Eunice, La., Jeffery Sittig of Baton Rouge, La., Joni Fontenot of Ville Platte, La. and one great grandchild. Vincent was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard Sittig and Carmilite Corkin, one son, Vincent Dale Sittig, six brothers; Arcade Sittig, Predose Sittig, Detroit Sittig, Clement Sittig, Armand Sittig, Dolan Sittig, two sisters; Elba Rougeau and Edna LeBouef. Quirk and Son Funeral Home in Eunice is in charge of the arrangements.
