Vernon Carl Duplechin passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at the age of 81.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 13, 2018, at 10:00 AM at Quirk & Son Funeral Home in Eunice. Pastor Dennis Gotreaux will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Eunice.

He is survived by his wife, Debra D. Duplechin of Eunice; five sons, Marshall Duplechin of Covington, Randy Duplechin of Baton Rouge, Brian Corkin and wife Crystal of Eunice, Andrus Blake Duplechin and wife Hollie, and Ronald "Boss" Duplechin and wife Tabitha of Eunice; one daughter, Donna Duplechin of Eunice; one brother, Herbert "Black" Duplechin; one sisters, Barbara Reed of Basile; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren.

Vernon was preceded in death by his parents, Cleveland and Pauline Manuel Duplechin; one brother, Andrus F. Duplechin.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Thursday, July 12, 2018, from 9:00 AM until 8:00 PM at Quirk & Son Funeral Home. The funeral home will reopen on Friday for visitation at 8:00 AM until time of service.
