Verna Lavergne Ward passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2022 at the age of 86. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at First Baptist Church of Eunice with Reverend Tommy McManus officiating. Verna is survived by her husband, Jack Ward, Sr.; her son, Jack Ward, Jr.; two daughters, Carolyn Martin and husband Larry, Jeanine Marak and husband Doug; six grandchildren, Chad Martin, Chelsea Rothe, Harmony D'Antoni, Hannah Kern, Gabe D'Antoni, Charity Loh; six great-grandchildren, Maddox Martin, Brooks Rothe, Mason Martin, Magnolia Martin, Tinley Rothe and Beckett Rothe. She was preceded in death by her parents, Amy and Evia Doucet Lavergne; two brothers, U.J. Lavergne, Lionel Lavergne and one sister, Margaret Ryan.
