Thomas Julius Phillips, age 65, of Eunice, LA, died Tuesday, April 26, 2011, at Evangeline Extended Care Hospital in Mamou, LA.

He is survived by his wife; Dean Phillips of Eunice, LA.

One Son: Scott Phillips & Lauri, Eunice, LA

One Sister: Joy Strickland, Nashville, TN

Three Brothers: John Phillips, Minneapolis, MN Otha Phillips, Jr., Kansas City, MO Gary Phillips, San Antonio, TX One Step-Brother: Freddie Carter of Texarkana, TX Two Grand Children: Austin and Dru Phillips He is preceded in death by his Parents, Otha F. Phillips, Sr. and Nellie Faye Lurry.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at Quirk & Son Funeral Home in Eunice. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 AM on Thursday for a visitation until the service. A funeral service will be at Quirk & Son Funeral Home at 10:00 AM, Thursday, April 28, 2011. Burial to follow in St. Paul Cemetery in Eunice, LA. Quirk & Son Funeral Home, 121 S. 6th. Street of Eunice is in charge of arrangements.
