Theodore "Ted" Joseph Wasmuth passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2018, at the age of 88. A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, September 10, 2018, at 11:00 AM at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Eunice. Fr. Matt Hebert will officiate. A rosary will be prayed by Deacon David Guillory at 10:30 am. At the request of the family visitation will begin at 10:00 AM until time of services at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Ted's ashes will be enurned in Lake Lawn Mausoleum in New Orleans at a later date. Ted is survived by his wife Ching D. Wasmuth, two sons; Kent Wasmuth and Carol and Keith Wasmuth, one daughter, Priscilla "Tara" Wasmuth, three grandchildren; Scott Wasmuth and Carson and McKenzie Weimer, five great grandchildren; Preston, Lauren , Noah, Benjamin and Levi. Ted was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Wasmuth and Priscilla Cousins, and one sister, Betty La Fort. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Landry Animal Control and Rescue, 255 Hangar Rd, Opelousas, La., 70570. Quirk and Son Funeral Home in Eunice is in charge of the arrangements.
