Sylvia Courville Marcantel passed away on Monday, March 11, 2024 at the age of 80. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at St. Anthony Catholic Church with Father Hampton Davis Celebrant. Entombment will follow in St. Paul Mausoleum. At the request of family, visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 with a Rosary at 6:00 PM by The Ladies Altar Society. Visitation will resume at 8:00 AM on Thursday until time of departure for Services. Sylvia is survived by three daughters, Melissa Reed (Wendell), Tina Conner (Gary), Vanessa Cormier (Troy); two brothers, August Courville, Jr. (Gwen), Russell Courville (Wanda); five grandchildren, Brenda Guidroz (Ronnie), Lucas Cormier (Tiffany), Katie Kimbrough (Brandon), Celeste Cormier (Heath), Emily Cormier; seven great-grandchildren, Anna, Ariana, Erick, Rosalee, Loki, Acelee and Kaelyn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Merlin Marcantel; her parents, August Courville, Sr. and Maddie Estes Courville.
