Steve Samuel Dyer, age 79,  a beloved husband, brother, uncle, and devoted veteran, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2026, at his home in Eunice, Louisiana. Born on February 20, 1947, Steve's life was marked by quiet strength, steadfast loyalty, and a generous spirit that touched all who knew him. No Services have been planned at this time.

A proud soldier of the army, Steve’s service was a testament to his commitment and love for his country. His dedication extended beyond his military career, as he lived each day with the same discipline and kindness he displayed during his years of service.

Steve shared a deep and enduring bond with his wife, Rosalie Dupre Dyer, whose companionship brightened his days and sustained him through life’s challenges. He was a cherished brother to Craig Dyer and his wife, Elaine; Becky Chance and her husband, Glenn; and Karen Deshotel and her husband, Russell. The laughter and memories shared with his siblings enriched his life immeasurably.

Though his parents, Gordon Dyer and Melba Hemphill Dyer, and his sister, Janice Amy, preceded him in death, Steve’s memory lives on vibrantly through the numerous nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart.
