Stephen Johnson, 74, passed away at Heart Hospital of Lafayette on May 14, 2009. A memorial service will be Thursday, May 28, 2009 at New Hope Fellowship Church in Eunice at 3:00 PM. Entombment will be at St. Paul Mausoleum in Eunice. Stephen is survived by his wife, Jeanette Guillory Johnson of Mamou; step daughter, Donna Bourque & husband John of Mamou and Shawn Oge & wife Blanche of Mamou and step grandson, Joshua Galloway. He is also survived by his three sons, Johnny Johnson, Tommy & wife, Cindy Johnson of Eunice & Garland & wife, Jo Johnson of Spring TX; brothers, Wallace & Lou Johnson of Eunice and Matt & Lorita Johnson of Eunice; grandchildren, Drake Johnson,Daniel Johnson, Cali Johnson, Stephen Johnson & wife Brittany, Harrison Johnson, Benjamin Johnson, Quintin Johnson, Jake Johnson& wife, Ashley, Zachary Johnson; & Dina Kuhn; great grandchildren, Arys & Hayden Rozas, Austin & Olivia Johnson, Blake McManus, Alex & Caroline Kuhn Stephen was co-owner of Johnson's Grocery Store in Eunice, LA along with his brothers and sister. Stephen loved cooking. He also enjoyed feeding his family and friends. He was a "true blue" fan of the both the Saints and LSU. Stephen was a good man and a wonderful friend to many. Judith Taggart, mother of his three sons, of Tomball, TX, Janice & Joseph Fontanna of Lake Charles and Pappy & Gregg Smith of Lafayette will also mourn his loss.
