Shirley Fontenot Prather passed away on Sunday March 24, 2013 at the age of 77. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday March 27, 2013 at 1:30 PM at St. Edward's Catholic Church. Father Wayne Duet will officiate. Burial will follow at Guillory Cemetery. Shirley is survived by one daughter, Cindy Thibodeaux and husband Lance of Richard; four sons, Mike Prather and wife Linda of Eunice, Wayne Prather and wife Debbie of Richard, Tim Prather and wife Anita of Denham Springs, and Mark Prather and Renee of Eunice; one sister, Gertie Arnold of Eunice; fourteen grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Adius and Eguise Guillory Fontenot; her husband, Early Prather; one brother, Weber Fontenot. At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Tuesday from 1:30 PM to 10 PM at Quirk & Son Funeral Home. A Rosary will be prayed at 7 PM. The funeral home will reopen at 8 AM Wednesday for visitation until service time. Quirk & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
