Shirley Boone passed away on Wednesday January 8, 2014 at the age of 77. Funeral Services will be held on Friday January 10, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Quirk & Son Funeral Home in Eunice. Pastor Ronnie LaCombe will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Shirley is survived by her husband, David Boone, Sr. of Eunice; five daughters, Brenda Young and her husband Gregory of Chataignier, Kayler Boone, Bridgette Roy and her husband Chuck, Jolene Boone, and Samantha Boone, all of Eunice; four sons, David Boone, Jr. and his wife Clarice of Chataignier, Jody Boone, Madison Boone, and Nicklaus Boone, all of Eunice; seven sisters, Jerry Johnson of DeQuincy, Betty Veillon of Gonzales, Joann LeJeune of TN, Louanna Johnson of Eunice, Hazel Johnson of Jasper, TX, Judy Manuel of Sulphur, and Patricia Luquette of Eunice; sixteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Effie Bird Johnson; and one brother, JL Johnson; a grandson, Dustin Boone. At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Thursday January 9, 2014 at 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Quirk & Son Funeral Home. The funeral home will reopen on Friday at 8 a.m. for visitation until time of service. Quirk & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
